Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, says his priority is to provide purposeful leadership that will strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC) and help secure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.

He made the statement during his first meeting with APC stakeholders following his recent move to the party.

According to NTA’s Bilkisu Abubakar, the gathering was aimed at consolidating the party’s influence in Adamawa and building momentum toward ensuring electoral success for President Tinubu and all APC candidates in 2027.

Governor Fintiri reaffirmed his loyalty to the party, describing his defection as the beginning of a fresh political era in the state. He explained that the decision was driven by a desire for long-term stability and development rather than personal ambition. He encouraged former PDP members who joined him to embrace discipline, unity, and loyalty as they integrate into the APC.

Also speaking at the meeting, the APC National Vice Chairman for the North-East, Mustafa Salihu, and the Minister of Livestock Development, Muktar Idi Maiha, welcomed the governor’s defection alongside the PDP structure in the state. They expressed optimism that the expanded party family would work together as a united force.

The stakeholders’ meeting was seen as an opportunity to align the new and existing members toward advancing the party’s mandate in Adamawa.
