Vice President Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to overcoming Nigeria’s security challenges, declaring that “Nigeria shall prevail.” He made this statement during the 2026 National Police Day celebration in Abuja, where he praised the resilience of the Nigeria Police Force and called for stronger collaboration between citizens and law enforcement.

Shettima described the National Police Day as more than a commemoration it is a covenant to build a police institution anchored on excellence, accountability, courage, and service. He urged officers to uphold integrity and discipline, stressing that their conduct must inspire public confidence.
