President Bola Tinubu has directed Nigeria’s top security chiefs to immediately relocate to Maiduguri, Borno State, following a series of devastating bomb blasts that claimed dozens of lives.

On Monday, suspected suicide bombers struck crowded areas of the city, leaving at least 23 people dead and more than 100 others injured. The coordinated explosions targeted the bustling Monday Market and the Post Office area, sending residents into panic and chaos.

In response, Tinubu vowed that terrorists would find no refuge in Nigeria, stressing that his administration would confront and defeat them. He ordered emergency agencies to provide urgent medical care to the injured and approved additional equipment to strengthen military operations in the region.

The attacks have drawn widespread condemnation. The Northern Senators’ Forum expressed shock and sorrow, urging citizens to remain calm while supporting security agencies. The Nigeria Governors’ Forum described the incident as a reckless waste of human lives and pledged to work closely with the Federal Government to end terrorism.
