The hunters have become the hunted! In a massive show of force, the 4 Brigade of the Nigerian Army has just concluded a “Clean Sweep” operation across the forests of Edo North. If you think you can hide in the bushes of Auchi, Okpella, or Osara, think again!
🚨 THE RAID: Operation IGBO DANU 1
Led by the fearless Brigadier General Ahmed Balogun, a joint task force—including the Air Force, Police, NSCDC, and Edo Security Corps—stormed the hideouts of terrorists and kidnappers on February 4, 2026.
They didn’t just knock; they broke the door down!
⛓️ THE “WALL OF SHAME”: 13 Arrested!
The Army has paraded 13 suspects who have been terrorizing our mothers, fathers, and travelers.
The Osara/Auchi/Okpella Gang: Jamilu Mohammad, Kasim Abu, Braimoh Affeez, and 5 others.
The Aviele Forest Crew: Isiaka Abubakar, Yusuf Abubakar, and 3 others.
🎒 THE RECOVERED LOOT (Evidence “Gbagan!”)
The troops didn’t just catch people; they recovered the tools of the trade:
Weapons: English Auto Pump-action guns, locally made pistols, and live cartridges. 🔫
The “Business” Tools: A POS Machine (for those forced transfers), Android phones, and cash. 💳💰
The “High” Supply: Codeine, Cannabis (Loud/Colos), Tramadol, and Ice. (They were high on drugs while committing high-level crimes!) 💊🍃
🗣️ THE COMMANDER’S WARNING
Brigadier General Balogun has sent a clear message to anyone thinking of starting a “Kidnap Business” in Edo State:
“Edo State will be untenable for you. We are flushing you out, forest by forest, community by community!”
He also gave a massive shoutout to the GOC 2 Division, Major General Chinedu Nnebeife, for the “Strategic Vibe” and support that made this victory possible.
